Let’s talk carbohydrates and why you need them in a healthy diet!
Lean muscle mass building requires energy through carbohydrate intake. In order to gain muscle mass, you have to ensure you're getting enough protein to rebuild muscle tissue damaged through training, but you also have to eat enough carbohydrates because gaining muscle mass requires you to fill your muscles with glycogen.
Here is a quick and tasty recipe!
4 large sweet potatoes
10 baby red potatoes
1 med vidalia onion
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon sea salt
Cube potatoes and onion then toss all together in oil, salt, and pepper. Lay on baking dish and bake 35-40 min @450!
Makes 10-12 servings
Serving size 1 cup
Calories 163 calories, 37g carbs, 6g fat per serving.
Pair this with a healthy protein(chicken breast, steak) and a vegetable and you have an easy and healthy dinner option.
